GEMS OFFERED SERVICES

PM Service

Our PM service includes OGI inspection of all tank components including thief hatches, vent valves, PRV’s, piping, etc. Also included is the ability for us to make needed repairs and install new equipment as needed to ensure the entire vent gas system is working together to achieve zero emissions. Once all components are proven to be in effective working order, follow up PM surveys will include cleaning and maintenance as needed to extend the life of equipment rather than just installing and using to failure.

PM for Batteries

  •  Initial assessment of components and conditions. Identify makes and models. (Battery Health)
  •  Hatch, vent valve uniformity. (Brands, models, pressure, vacuum settings)
  •  Assess emission controls (VRU, VRT, VCU, piping structure)
  •  Provide repair and system optimization recommendations.

PM Program after assessment complete

  • Frequency? Currently? Recommended Quarterly
  •  Two of the quarterly surveys will serve as OOOOa compliance surveys.
  •  PM survey includes entire facility same as OOOOa.

Cost Benefit

  •  Single source
  •  Minimize repair and replacement costs.
  • Maintaining components leads to longer life and higher operating efficiencies rather than running components to failure.
  •  Workflow Platform
  • Tracking of data
  •  component life span
  •  repair dates
  •  Identify problem areas or inefficiencies in system.

Combustor PM Service

The key to eliminating equipment downtime is keeping the key components of the system in peak operating condition. We provide a detailed and documented inspection of all key components as well as informed recommendations for parts replacement and upgrades. With proper maintenance of equipment, run time will be maximized, avoiding the costly headaches of downtime and emergency call outs.

VCU PM

  • Assessment of operation (completed with initial assessment of facility)
  • Make, Model, capacity
  •  Quarterly program
  •  Component Inspection checklist
  •  Key components
  • Verify operation of each component.
  • Piping and liquid traps
  • Report (identified issues, faulty components)
  •  Provide repair services if needed.
  •  Programing
  • Parts
  •  Operational Set Points

40 CFR Part 60 Subpart OOOO a

Our team has extensive experience in conducting OOOO a (LDAR) facility surveys and providing all data needed for reporting and compliance. We provide efficient and comprehensive compliance surveys backed by our experience and ability to perform first attempt repairs while onsite, combining the usual survey/repair/resurvey timeline into a single site visit.

LDAR OOOOa

  • Initial Survey 60 Days from startup
  • First Survey at 60 days initial survey
  • Reconstruction or modification of existing well or facility 30 days for initial survey from major change.
  • Frequency - Semi Annually Required for OOOOa
  • Fugitive emissions identified during OOOOa survey require first attempt at repair within 30 days plus resurvey within 30 days of attempted repair.
  •  Difficult to repair leaks given 60 days or next shutdown.

Cost Benefit

  •  Leak detection, repair, resurvey at same time as OOOOa survey due to experience and knowledge of production facilities and equipment. (No additional cost for resurvey)
  •  Workflow platform
  •  Data management
  •  Survey and Repair Date tracking
  •  Report Generation
  •  Provide report turnaround (less than 24 hours)
  •  LDAR OOOOa Reports completed onsite.
  • Certified and trained to work under air for H2S environments.

Vent Gas Measurement

Whether you are sizing emission control equipment such as VRU’s or VCU’s, or dealing with compliance and permitting issues, knowing the true volume and composition of your vent gas is the first step in a successful project. Our vent gas measurement service utilizes the best available technology to obtain an accurate measurement of the vent gas volume. This combined with on extended gas analysis of the same gas stream is critical for effective equipment design as well as regulatory calculations.

Vent Gas Measurement (Direct Measurement)

  •  Quantify Potential to Emit from tanks
  •  Sizing of equipment (VRU/VCU) with direct measurement and analysis of gas stream.
  •  Verify sizing of current equipment (VRU/VCU)
  •  Flow profile of vent gas
  •  Extended gas analysis of vent gas
  •  24-hour flow measurement
  •  Compliance with State and Federal regulations and air permits
  •  Accurate flow measurements of wet gas applications and H2S service.

Vent Gas Consulting (Piping and Design)

Historically, one of the most overlooked components of the vent gas systems has been piping design and equipment installation. With over 30 years of experience in vent gas management, we can provide guidance and support from the beginning to completion of your vent gas systems. Identifying issues and resolving problems with current systems results in an increase of the overall efficiency of the equipment, benefiting both the financial and environmental impact of the project.

GHGRP 40 CFR 98 Subpart W Facility Surveys

Our team has extensive experience in conducting Subpart W facility surveys and providing all data needed for reporting and compliance. Our experience includes natural gas processing plants, natural gas transmission stations, and LNG storage facilities.
